What Is Live Earth?
Live Earth wil be a legendary music event - 9 concerts, over 150 headlining music acts, 24 hours of music across all 7 continents broadcast to over 2 billion people.
No Canadian city is represented in the 9-city Live Earth line-up, so Global Habitat Festival was established as a "Friends Of Live Earth" event so Canadians can actively participate in the global movement expected from Live Earth.
"By attracting an audience of billions, we hope Live Earth will launch a global campaign giving a critical mass of people around the world the tools they need to help solve the climate crisis. Live Earth will help us reach a tipping point that's needed to move corporations and governments to take decisive action to solve the climate crisis"
- Al Gore
