Quagmire: A Simulation Game for Wetland Decision Making
Quagmire is an interactive role-playing game for grades 5-12. It provides a real-life situation regarding the proposed development of a saltwater marsh. Quagmire is student oriented and hands-on. Students take on the role of various interest groups including the government, industry, tourism, aquaculture and environmental organizations to 'debate the fate' of a saltwater marsh.
This is a FREE resource for Canadian teachers. Quagmire meets various cirriculum and learning outcomes based on Atlantic Canada and Nova Scotian educational standards. It is directed towared grade 5-12 in science, social studies and English.
