BC Rural Communities Sustainability Forum
Smart Planning for Communities, the BC Rural Network, and the Revelstoke Community Futures Development Corp. are pleased to invite you to participate in the BC Rural Communities Sustainability Forum to be held in Revelstoke BC, March 24th to 26th, 2009. Whether you are in local government, a First Nations community, a community organization or the private sector, this forum offers an ideal opportunity to learn about current initiatives to address dramatic transitions in rural communities, identify innovative tools to take action in your community, share successes and lessons learned in economic and social development, and discover ways to integrate current strategies with new and innovative approaches. Together we will share stories of resilience in this time of dramatic change for rural and remote communities, and discuss challenges and opportunities in sustaining the rural economy and lifestyle.
Details on the workshop agenda and speakers, and registration information are on the BC Rural Network website. http://www.bcruralnetwork.ca/node/801. If you have any questions, please contact: Basha Rahn, Project Coordinator, BC Rural Network at 250-243-2380 or by email at brahn@wlake.com
