Catalyzing Collaboration Report on Culturally Inclusive Sustainability Education
This report was commissioned by the BC Working Group on Sustainability Education. It is intended to initiate a dialogue about the involvement of linguistically and culturally diverse communities in sustainability education and how community organizations can collaborate to achieve this.
This report outlines key findings and insights from twelve interviews with sustainability educators, community developers, and individuals working in settlement services. The research describes the current ad hoc approach to cultural inclusion that exists within sustainability education in Metro Vancouver. The study highlights the opportunity for organizations to collaborate and deliver culturally-appropriate sustainability education.

Cultural Inclusion/Collaboration
Hi all, I am so happy I found your valuable research findings online: Catalyzing Collaboration. Thank you for sharing this! I am part of a group of people who worked on the recent climate action event Bridge to a Cool Planet. While working on that event we discovered how "white the green movement" really is. We are presently calling for people of different cultural/ethnic backgrounds to create a collaborative circle of support and resource sharing. I wonder if one of you would be interested in meeting with me prior to our first meeting on March 4th to talk to me further about your work.
