Craik Sustainable Living Project in Saskatchewan -- call for student boarders
Praxis International Institute (PII) is located in a new eco-constructed facility in the Craik Sustainable Living Project in Craik, Saskatchewan, Canada and is open to youth from around the world.
Based upon the principles of our successful Praxis School of Entrepreneurship, the boarding high school is built on pillars of Entrepreneurship, Environmental Sustainability, Global Citizenry and Technology. With a focus on experiential learning, creative and critical thinking, and access to practitioners in the field, students will have the opportunity to find their passion and purpose and make a difference in the world through socially responsible entrepreneurship and/or further education or employment.
By living, learning and working together in a sustainable way, we believe a global perspective will develop within each young person, enabling them to create a peaceful and sustainable future.
In the next 2 years we will be adding a greenhouse and a bison ranch so our students can grow their own food and eventually market as a social enterprise. In the meantime, we will be purchasing as much locally grown produce and meat as possible.
If you know of students interested in this type of learning opportunity, please let them know we are taking applications now.....classes start in February 2010. We will take mid year transfers as well.
Our contact information is below.
Have a wonderful New Year and we look forward to hearing from you!
