passionTOaction: Launch of New Sustainability Leadership Program for Young Women
The program passionTOaction, is officially off the ground and will be launched this April. It is being offered as a pilot through the Passion Foundation. They are a local organization seeking to expand their programming to get young women excited and engaged in leadership and sustainability. Gordon Youth Search House in Vancouver has already donated the space and one of Passion Foundation's Board Members, Lori Petryk, (www.healthylivingbylori.com) will be providing participants an opportunity to be part of her video series, “Good for You, Good for the Earth”. We have also received some funding through the Youth4Sustainability grant for social media development and multimedia production that will be sent out to schools.
We are in the process of recruiting female participants, aged 15 - 19 from the Metro Vancovuer area. We hope you will consider recommending some of the young women you know to participate. We would also appreciate your assistance in circulating this information to your colleagues and local schools.
Attached are a letter and outline that detail the program and application process.
