Towns for Tomorrow
Improving local infrastructure has become easier for even more
communities as a result of the launch of the expanded Towns for
Tomorrow program.
Municipalities with populations up to 15,000 and regional districts
are now eligible for funding to develop and enhance local
infrastructure.
Now a five-year, $71-million program, Towns
for Tomorrow supports projects that address climate change and
contribute to the overall health, sustainability and livability of
communities.
Eligible projects include, but are not limited to:
Public Dialogue: Extreme Events: Adapting Infrastructure to Climate Change
ACT presents a free public dialogue from 3:00 to 5:00 pm at SFU Surrey, featuring presentations on the impact of climate change on infrastructure and development and possible responses.
Surrey Board of Trade Business Luncheon: Extreme Events: Adapting Infrastructure to Climate Change
ACT partners with the Surrey Board of Trade on a business luncheon featuring a four-person expert panel discussing threats to infrastructure posed by climate change, current standards, and possible responses. Members of the public, senior industry leaders, local development and real estate decision-makers will have the opportunity to attend and ask questions following the presentations.
